What is a Communication Studies Major?
The communication studies major at Saint Joseph’s University focuses on digital media studies. You’ll develop invaluable skills through courses in multimedia writing, video editing and production, web content strategy and design, and writing for social media platforms. The communication studies department’s faculty focuses on these areas through the lens of community engagement and social justice.
Communication studies faculty are dedicated to the art of thinking across media, platforms and theories while emphasizing both theory and practice in their courses. Not only will you study what is happening in emerging communication technologies, but you’ll also participate in them.
